Dr Geraldine McKeever
Managing Director and Senior Consultant in Cosmetic Medicine

Geraldine McKeever qualified in medicine from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1980. She has hospital experience in General Medicine and Surgery, Rheumatology, Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr McKeever completed her GP training in 1985 in Dartford and was admitted to the Royal College of General Practitioners after passing their exam in 1985. She became a GP Principal in 1987 and in 1991 she and Dr Chris Davies (her husband) established a new practice in the village of Hoo, near Rochester, Kent. Dr McKeever continued as joint senior Doctor in this Practice until 2004 when she left to persue her interest in Cosmetic Medicine.
Dr. Geraldine has been an acupuncturist for 16 years and has completed her advanced training in this discipline with the British Medical Acupuncture Society. She often uses Acupunture Points to treat migraines with botox. This works extremely well and we are not aware of anyone else who combines these 2 disciplines Dr Geraldine is an experienced Media Doctor having presented medical items on national breakfast television for 14 months, given statements on local radio and written a column for a year for one of her local newspapers. She is the author of two patient publications “A guide to contacting your Doctor” and “Woman to Woman- a woman doctor’s guide to the Menopause and HRT”. As a GP she regularly did skin operations under local anaesthetic and was on the Minor Surgery list of her local GP NHS Organisation. She regularly received referrals for the insertion of HRT implants from other GPs in her locality.
Doctor Geraldine has been interested in Cosmetic Medicine for many years and she began to train in the discipline in 2003 and since then she has trained in most aspects of it. She was the first Consultant Cosmetic Physician at a well known private hospital in Kent from May 2004 until July 2005 and has also practiced as a cosmetic doctor in the Courthouse Clinic in Brentwood, Essex. For 2 years she was in charge of injectable procedures for “The Body Clinic of Harley Street".
Dr Geraldine is fully registered with The General Medical Council of the UK with a license to practice and she is also on the GMC’s GP Register. She is a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine. She holds a BTEC qualification in higher skin laser technology, applications and treatment from Loughborough College. Dr Geraldine has her own teaching academy (The Stepback Academy ) where she holds Masterclasses for Doctors who are already advanced in injecting and also for a few exceptional nurses. She is a UK Expert for Teoxane laboratories Switzerland. Teoxane are the producers of excellent hyaluronic acid fillers and Dr Geraldine teaches advanced injection techniques for them.
Dr Geraldine is married to Dr Chris Davies who is a Director of Stepback Cosmetic Medicine. He is also the Senior Partner of a large GP Practice. They have 3 grown up children; Ellen a 28 year old dentist, Anna a 23 year old Medical Student and Michael a 21 year old Architecture student.
Dr Christopher Davies
General Practitioner and Senior Consultant in Cosmetic Medicine

Chris Davies qualified in medicine from King’s College Hospital London in 1979. He has hospital experience in General Medicine and Surgery, Accident and Emergency, Intensive Care, Chest Medicine and Cardiology. Dr. Davies trained as a GP on the Dartford GP Vocational training scheme and was admitted to the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners after passing their examination in 1985. He became a GP Principal in 1986 and in 1991 he and Dr. McKeever set up a new general Practice in Hoo, near Rochester, Kent.
The new practice is very successful and Dr. Davies is the senior Partner of what is now a four doctor, 10,000 patients Practice. Dr. Davies is very involved in medical education and teaches medical students from London University and also fully qualified doctors with an interest in General Practice. He has an interest in Hormone replacement therapy in both men and women. He is an experienced acupuncturist and a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society. He has completed his advanced training with the society. He does minor operations frequently in the NHS and he also does them for Step-Back.
Dr. Davies became interested in Cosmetic Medicine in 2003 and since then he has attended basic and advanced training courses in many aspects of this speciality in which he has gained considerable expertise. He sees patients regularly in our weekly clinics.
Dr. Davies is married to Dr. McKeever. They have three children and live in High Halstow, near Rochester, Kent.

Mr Allon Barsam
Mr Barsam is one of only a handful of Consultant Surgeons in the UK who is dual fellowship trained in Cornea, Cataract and Laser Vision Correction. This means he is an expert in sight correction. Our own senior consultant, Dr Geraldine McKeever, has had personal experience of his expertise in that he successfully corrected her short sight which she feels has revolutionised her life.
